Colour Code Federal Election Scorecard

We are an independent national movement of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and migrant communities campaigning for our rights.

This Federal election on May 18, we're voting to protect our communities.

For far too long our communities have been singled out by politicians and the issues that matter to us flat out ignored. But we can stand together to put our rights front and centre.

How do political parties score on our issues?

To work this out, we began by surveying First Nations and migrant Colour Code members. Our movement selected a broad range of policies across:

  • First Nations Justice
  • Calling out racism
  • Supporting multiculturalism
  • Reintroducing a fair migration system
  • Protection for people seeking safety

Next, we surveyed political parties and independent candidates in key electorates. We asked them where they stood on each of our 19 policy issues, and combined that with our own independent research.

You can find a detailed breakdown of the survey responses combined with further research and references here.

Colour Code members will be out on May 18 handing out a translated version of our scorecard so all of our communities are informed about what voting for each political party means for us and our families.
